Meet Laura Luther of Olive My Skin – Small Batch Olive Based Skin Care based in Southbury, Connecticut.
Laura started making her own skin care as a teenager due to her sensitive skin and inability to use commercially made products. She found that when she used simple ingredients, her skin was happier & less irritated. She continued to make lotions & soaps to give as gifts. One day, a friend suggested she should start a business so that everyone could try her great products.
That was the start of Olive My Skin, an olive oil based skin care line made in Connecticut. The company sells lotions, lip balms, sugar scrubs, foaming hand soap, body cream and handmade bar soap. The orange lip balm is particularly delicious as well as the lemon poppyseed soap and the charcoal soap (which I have found is great for washing your face).
In addition, Olive My Skin has not forgotten about the little ones in your life. They have an Olive My Kid line which has Head to Toe Lotion, Butter Those Buns, Foaming Baby Wash and even an Olive My Kid care kit.
All Olive My Skin products are made with fair trade & organic butters & oils, pure essential oils for fragrance, and are paraben free.
Olive My Home is their luxurious candle line. Pure soy wax & cherry wood wicks create a beautiful flame that has a slight crackle while it burns. Olive My Home candles are free from added color & we use only phthalate free fragrances. This makes your candle soot & toxin free. Fall and winter fragrances include Autumn Leaves, Crackling Birch, Nag Champa, Bartlett Pear, Avocado Olive, Smoky Ginger, Milk & Honey, Bonfire, Vanilla Bourbon and Cranberry Chutney. They come in 11 ounce size and a mini candle as well.
