Unique and gorgeous. Those are the words that come to mind when describing the jewelry at Studio 23. This chic shop is owned by Leslii Stevens and she’s multi-talented. Jewelry & artwork are the specialties at Studio 23.
The jewelry line is called Triniti’s closet and is named after Leslii’s daughter. Although she’s only been creating jewelry for the last 3 years, her art experience goes back many years. Everything that she makes incorporates the reuse & recycle philosophy…which is a good thing since we’re all so eco-conscious lately…as we should be.
The beautiful bracelet pictured here is made with leather and peridot crystals. The crystals are knotted on the leather and the bracelet is finished off with an antique button. I promise that this is one of the coolest bracelets you’ve ever seen in your life. This piece can also be made with freshwater pearls, clear crystals, amethyst crystals, lilac crystals, pink crystals, teal crystals and cobalt crystals. The artwork is another segment to this shop. According to her website, “Leslii has come up with an affordable and fun way to collect and buy art. She wanted to create a series of mix and match artworks, where the client becomes the designer. This eventually resulted in the creation of modular wooden blocks, finished and ready to hang, no framing is needed. She takes a rigid, historical printmaking process and fuses it into today’s modern world. Rejecting the idea that printing is only for repetitive editions of identical paper images, Leslii takes extra time to print editions (from her original paintings) that are varied in color, no two alike. She then adds to each print; oil pastels, water colors, gel medium and a top coat of bees wax. Making each one a real one-of-kind piece of art. You can add to your collection in time, hanging them on your walls as one big piece of art like a mosaic, using as many as you wish.”
