Fresh and Chic: Gala Glass/Handcrafted by Jackie Turbot - October 13, 2009
Do you have a mother or relative like mine? For every birthday or holiday, I wonder what to get for this woman. First of all, she seems to have everything and second, she doesn’t like anything I buy for her. I suppose that we can expect this from a woman who goes to Target for a winter hat and considers buying something that makes her look like Little Red Riding Hood.
My advice to anyone in this precarious situation is to head over to Gala Glass. The Tiozzo family owns this Canadian business which manufactures world-class handmade crystal glass creations…at very reasonable prices! You can purchase unique jewelry, lamps, ornaments, mirrors, wine stoppers & more for any occasion. Below you will see one of their hand-blown glass lamps. These lamps last forever and uses oil which burns without smoke or odor and will even extinguish itself if spilled. 
I’m impressed. The quality is lovely and at such an excellent price, too. It’s really a beautiful centerpiece for any room and quite eye-catching.
On the left hand side of the Gala Glass website, you’ll see a listing of possible reasons to be purchasing gifts…weddings, anniversaries, hostess gifts, etc. Simply click on one of these links and you will be taken to a list of possibilities. Makes shopping SO much easier than trekking to the mall. A few clicks and your gift is on its way! 
When I received a package of goodies from Handcrafted by Jackie Turbot, I couldn’t stop sniffing it. This was BEFORE I opened it. So ya wanna smell pretty after your shower? Here’s the place.
Jackie’s website is not fancy at all but her soap rivals anything with a higher price. I tried three bars…Citrus Splash, Sweet Pea and Chocolate Goatmilk. I couldn’t pick a favorite…all of them rocked! You can purchase 3 of their 4oz. bars of soap for just $12.00. Each bar contains olive, palm, coconut & castor oils and shea butter. So they smell great, they’re moisturizing and luxurious, too. Other scent choices include Lovespell, Bergamot Clary Sage, Bamboo & Teak and Cranberry Kumquat. 
Did I mention the Bath Fizzies? They’re so much fun. They fizz as they dissolve and each one contains natural oil. Highly recommended are Pomegranate Mango, Lilac and Spa Blend. Love them! It’s bath season so you may want to start stocking up. And speaking of stocking, they make the perfect stocking stuffers…each one is adorable…wrapped in a piece of cloth and tied with a bow. Cute!
