Heather Winter lives in Cambridge, Ontario. With over 4 years of self-educated jewelry design, she runs her artisan
jewelry shop on Etsy, Andromedii Designs,
where designs don’t rest in just one style, color or metal, but sweep through
fusions of funky, vintage, whimsical, organic, earthy, modern…and that’s just
to start with! When not in her basement studio, she works full-time for an
engineering firm in accounting/admin.
Here’s what Heather has to say about her favorite indie businesses:
Artisan Impact. Ever since I saw one of their funky oxidized sterling silver rings, I fell into deep, abiding and lustful WANT. One day I will own one, but they are quite an affordable treat that will last a lifetime and always elicit ooohs and aaahs whenever I show the Etsy photos to friends and family.
The Mod Mobile by Allyson Hill. Yes, even your car can be fashionable and have its own accessories! I’ve owned one of Allyson’s colorful car litter bags for 3 years now and I love it just as much as I did then. I even got one for my brother’s car for Christmas and he LOVES it!
Dress Green. I first bought the Snow Day scrub for my face, and was utterly delighted with the freshness, the quality and the results! She now lists it as a body scrub, but I still use it on my face. And the Facial Serum is perfect for any skin type and is a multifaceted skin wonder!
One Clay Bead. I recently discovered this artisan pottery shop and immediately bought a turquoise plate and a Winter Sunset Flower bowl, which arrived promptly…okay, I’m a very happy customer…and I’ll shout to the rafters for such amazing pottery I’ll have all my life!
Evelyn Fields. I love anything that helps the Earth to be less cluttered and this falls perfectly into my niche, since I bring lots of snacks to work. With cute designs on 100% unbleached cotton with velcro, they’re super-easy to wash and if this is the way I can do my part, hurray!
Shanineal Felted Purses, Bowls, and Brooches. I bought one of these felted bowls in chocolate brown and I’ve been using it to
hold my beads in it, and I’m really tempted to get more of them because they’re
so beautiful, organic and textural and so useful to hold anything and everything small, from keys to lip balm to earrings…endless!
Okay…I want it all! Thanks to Heather for taking us on a shopping trip!
