Fresh and Chic: Pose Prints/Do Your Nails at Home - September 7, 2009
It was entirely accidental that I ended up with a funky greeting card in my shopping bag yesterday. My husband said, “Did you buy this?” and I said, “I thought YOU bought this.” It was a mistake…I didn’t pay for it but ended up with someone else’s unattractive card.
And you know…we can all do so much better than giving ordinary grocery store cards and invitations. So that leads me up to Pose Prints. This small company is a mom & daughter team (Denise & Jen) who each bring their unique talents to the table. Jen is the designer & Denise has the business savvy. Their cards are different because you can send them your own photo and have it made into a card, stationery or invitations. Your cards can be totally custom and no one else will ever have one that looks like yours. OR you can choose from some of their adorable designs and have your card or invite custom printed.
Think of all of the greetings that you can send out…thank you notes, personalized stationery, personalized recipe cards, baby stationery or whatever you can come up with. The whole concept is just so cool! In fact, their recipe cards & dinner party invites were just featured in one of Paula Deen’s magazines.
Remember…it just takes minutes to design your own stationery…that no one will ever forget. So ladies…I used to go every other week to the nail salon because I had acrylics. I really enjoyed them for awhile…they may not have been particularly good for my nails but they sure looked pretty. But then I got kind of tired of going and sitting there for an hour. And it always took an hour because it was usually more like 3 weeks before I realized..“today is the day to get my nails done”…AGAIN. I’ve been skipping the acrylics and doing my nails at home. When I heard from It’s A Glam Thing, I was excited because they had some products for me to test out which have made my nail life more than bearable. First we have Rada Pro’s Manicure Station. Made for professional use, you can have this in your home for $24.99. It’s easy to use…especially if you have an assistant to help you. There’s a place for your hand and wrist to rest to avoid strain, a bowl for soaking and a place for your nail polish. Love this! Claire and I have been having a jolly good time with it.
For cuticle issues, I adore VB Cosmetic’s Cuticle Oil with Shea Butter. This is a fabulous product! It’s made with grape seed, avocado & canola oils, along with shea butter and orange & lavender essential oils. Don’t miss out on this…your nails will thank you!
To top it all off, turn to Adovia’s Mineral Hand Cream. This cream contains shea butter, dead sea minerals & aloe vera. Another product that you will want to try.
It can be a lot of fun doing your nails at home…especially since you can purchase top quality items to help you on your way. With a few clicks, you can order online & have these products delivered right to your front door.
