Sadness brought about an amazing soy candle business, Sally Lee Candle Co.. According to co-founder David Rhoades, “Sally Lee Candles was formed out of a love for our mothers. We decided to make lemonade out of lemons!” His wife and business partner Marie Rhoades says, “We experienced the tragedy of losing both of our mothers within a week’s time frame back in March 2008. This ordeal affected our hearts and made us re-evaluate life. We simplified our world from top to bottom and laid the groundwork for running our own business again.” I love stories like this! These are soy candles which means that they’re made from natural soy wax rather than paraffin. Each candle is made using simple ingredients from American farmers & manufacturers which include 100% organic soy wax, cotton wicks, premium grade fragrance oils and no dyes or petroleum. Options, options, options. Sally Lee Candles offers lots of options in more ways than just scent choices. All candles come in a convenient tin which can easily be thrown in a suitcase for travel. Or you can get tealights. In any case, the tins come in 4 sizes…from one oz. to 16 ounces. They range in price from $1.75 to $12.99 which is very reasonable…especially for the excellent quality that you will receive.
