Indies of the Week: Naturally Delicious Skin/Indigo Rain - March 29, 2009
Naturally Delicious Skin is a family business with an emphasis on healthy skin. Daughter Jessica is behind the recipes and the formulas. According to Jessica, “If you can’t pronounce the ingredients on the label of the product you are using, then you need to rethink putting that product on your skin! period!.”
One of their philosophies is to take 30 minutes out of your week and just DO YOU! Release, relax, renew & reconnect with yourself. It’s a good plan & one that I need to keep in mind. The products are amazing & smell even better. We’ll start with the fabulous bath salts…we tried Neroli, which is italian orange blossoms. What a beautiful scent for getting your mind in the summer mode & the salts are so relaxing. Just $6.00 will get you a beautiful jar of these…perfect for sitting on your bath ledge and reminding you to jump in and indulge! Moving on to the Body Lotion which makes your skin feel just like silk…we tried the Sangria White Peach…heavenly! The lotion is light and doesn’t feel greasy at all…ideal for layering. Body Butter came next…if you buy the White Tea you will never be sorry. Sophisticated and skin soothing (again…not greasy at all), this will give your skin an extra boost especially if you’ve been suffering with the dry skin blues. This is one of the most gorgeous White Tea fragrances that I have ever smelled.
But oh yes…you need to be clean, right? Their Bath Bar was a delight and a winner in a Pink Grapefruit scent. I probably keep saying this over & over again but you know that women that smell like grapefruit smell younger. Keep this in mind! A 5.5 ounce bath bar will set you back just $4.00. A wickedly great price!
Start taking care of yourself and your skin by running over to Naturally Delicious Skin and saying hello. Let them know that we sent you on by!
So here’s what’s going on in my house. New carpeting for the entire upstairs. Who decided this? And why? And where have our brains gone? I know it’s going to look lovely and it’s a good time for weeding & sorting out…but still. And yet…there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s called Indigo Rain. So what does Indigo Rain have to do with carpeting?
After it’s all done and we get things back in place, I’ll be able to hang my new prints from this amazing shop. Gina Brooks is the woman behind the scenes and her artwork is so charming…and is aimed for children of all ages. Take a look at this print. It’s called “Where Do Wishes Go?” There’s something soothing & tender about this that makes me want to keep gazing at it.
And the funny thing is…I get that feeling with all of Gina’s work. Every print will take your soul back to a place of pure happiness. It’s the only way that I can describe it. Take a look for yourself. With all prints priced under $20.00, you can easily feel good about getting more than one. They’re so perfect…you can use them for any adult room in the house or for your child’s room. Or for a gift. What to buy when you don’t know what to get? Stop in at Indigo Rain and you’ll have that question answered in a heartbeat.
