Fresh and Chic: Tiffany Bradlee Designs/Carb Catchers - March 13, 2009

Do you love jewelry? Have so much of it that you don’t know what to do…and you aren’t sure how to display it? Fear not…I have the answer to your dreams this week! Tiffany Bradlee Designs creates jewelry screens which are perfect for displaying and holding your precious baubles.

I can’t tell you how much I love these…they’re a riot. The screens are designed like a photo frame except that there is screen in the middle rather than glass. You simply hang your pierced earrings in the holes and depending on the size of your earrings…you can most likely hang quite a few pair. On the top of the screen, you’ll find a peg on either side where you can hang necklaces or bracelets. It’s really quite convenient and so decorative and chic.

Each screen is hand painted by Tiffany herself. You’ll find a multitude of colors & designs so no one has to worry that there isn’t one that will match your decor…because there is.

Tiffany is multi-talented and also makes lazy susans, mirrors, candlesticks, and handpainted hockey puck paperweights. Her next venture is to get her designs on notecards.

This is a good time to let you know that not only does Tiffany Bradlee have her own website…but she sells on another one called Nest. According to Nest, “Nest is a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the lives of women in developing countries. The mission of Nest is to support women artists and artisans in the developing world by helping them create sustainable entrepreneurial businesses. To do this, Nest provides micro-credit loans to be used for the purchase of the supplies and materials necessary to begin and/or maintain art or craft-based businesses.”

So being the sharing & caring small business owner that she is, a percentage of Tiffany’s sales through Nest go to assist these women and 15% of the sales on her own website go to help fund breast cancer research, treatment, education & screening. Her mom is a breast cancer survivor and her mother-in-law lost her life to this illness so she feels it is important to acknowledge the bravery of these women through donations to breast cancer awareness organizations.
