There’s nothing better than having bath or shower time with a pretty bar of soap. And there’s nothing better than a pretty bar of soap that smells great & makes your skin feel wonderful. So what does this mean? This means that you need to get yourselves over to The Prim Pantry.

Based in Winnipeg, Lisa Hughes is the soap designer behind The Prim Pantry. We love our Canadian friends at Wickedly Chic…not only Lisa but Connie down the street who just loaned us her very tall ladder. Okay..the “us” is really my husband who is working on the ladder whereas I’m calmly sitting and typing about soap.

The Prim Pantry has been creating soap since 2005 and the bars are handcrafted in small batches to ensure excellent quality. In addition, those with sensitive skin will love to know that these soaps do not contain any harsh detergents, alcohol or foaming agents.

When you head over to this shop, you’ll notice that each bar is prettier than the last. So what do you choose? Yummy choices include Mistletoe Kisses, Mulberry, Key Lime Pie, Cotton Candy, Pomegranate, Cookie Dough, Pumpkin Souffle and Vanilla Coffee Cream (which is pictured here). There’s plenty of other choices, too.

Gorgeous soap, super moisturizing, wonderful for gift giving. What more can you want? Fans of The Prim Pantry can stay on top of what’s going on by checking out their blog. You’ll receive daily updates, news & specials.

So….you love jewelry & you’re looking for something new. The world news is getting you down & you need something to make you happy as a kid again. Never fear…meet Jamie Noel & her unique & whimsical jewelry line.

Jamie is a native Californian with a passion for creating. She designs “interactive” jewelry…which means that wearers can actually play with it. Her pieces all have a vintage flair to them, which takes you back to simpler days. Her inspiration comes from things that she loves…old toys and games, vintage circus and boardwalks, old books, vintage penny arcade machines…and anything old!

The piece that is pictured here is her fortune teller necklace…and I’m featuring it in honor of Halloween (which is arriving in just a couple of weeks) and my daughter Laura, who is enamored with Ouija.

Here’s what Jamie has to say about the Fortune Teller necklace, “Do you remember telling your friends fortunes in grade school? A pencil, a paper, and a little imagination were all that was needed to answer life’s big questions…Who will you marry? How many kids will you have? (The bigger the number, the louder the laughter!)”

“Even long ago this was a popular pastime as evidenced by the great vintage images in this necklace which came from an early 1900’s fortune teller game.
The outer circle in this pendant has the most adorable symbols representing your future husband’s occupation. The stack of coins represents a banker, the anchor for a merchant, a barrel keg for a ‘hotelier’?”

“The inner circle contains numbers for how many children you will have. There are even two spaces with illustrations of multiple swaddeled babies to signify twins or triplets! Gently twist the beautiful silver filagree knob on the back of the necklace to turn the spinner and reveal your future!”

“There is also a ‘key’ on the back to decipher the occupation symbols for your future husband. This necklace would make a charming gift for a childhood friend but heed this warning: You may want to order two, as many customers have reported (confessed) that this necklace was ordered as a gift, but once it arrived they couldn’t part with it! If you want continued friendship in your future, plan ahead and order two! Made with Sterling Silver solder, vintage images, silver findings, and hand cut glass.”

Truly this is a necklace to treasure…and the quality of workmanship is amazing. Other available necklaces include Moulin Rouge, Lion Tamer, Punch & Judy, Jack O’Lantern or a Trapeze.

Hurry on over & order one of these awesome necklaces for your jewelry collection!
