Indie of the Week: Margarita Bloom - October 9, 2008
For many years, I’ve been quite taken in by retro images of women. It all started with the lipstick that Aunt Nancy gave me back when I was five…it’s from Avon and I still have the tube. Then I moved on to trading cards of vintage women…does anyone remember those? I missed a whole era somewhere in there by virtue of being born at the wrong time.
But…I can have those times at my fingertips and so can you…thanks to our friends at Margarita Bloom. Regina, the Pittsburgh-based creator of the Margarita Bloom line, has lots in store for savvy women who want to get lots of pleasure out of smelling & feeling their very best. The packaging rocks. Fun, retro-loving & girly all at the same time, it’s a blast just to look through their website and imagine the possibilities that could be making their way into your home. This week, I’m loving The It Girl, a glamorous cream in a jar…scented in Pink Champagne Buttercream. Talk about decadent. And it’s made with organic ingredients. I promise you’re going to love this one.
And heaven in a box…take a look at their Cupcake Soaps. Everyone went nuts over these…they’re almost too pretty to use but you just have to do it. Delicious…I have one scented in Strawberry Angel Cake. These would make delightful holiday gifts…especially if you have to buy a number of gifts & want to support the small biz.
Hop on over and just enjoy this website. Regina is a master at creating an atmosphere that shoppers will want to return to again and again. And join their mailing list…so you can keep abreast of new products & scents.
