Fresh and Chic: AquaBeet/Crater Lake Company - September 25, 2008

It’s time to revisit one of my favorite bath & body shops which is run by one of my favorite people, Sharonn Itliong. Don’t get me wrong…every shop that we feature in Wickedly Chic is my favorite.

Crater Lake Company is Sharonn’s dream come true and she spends her nights & days thinking about her business & how to make it better. And she also spends a lot of time dreaming up new scents which is good for all of us!

I’d like to make readers aware of Crater Lake’s Halloween collection. Yes, that creepy holiday is right around the corner! Their delicious fragrances for Halloween are based on scary movies.

You might choose Cotton Candy Man. He scours suburban neighborhoods looking for unsuspecting housewives with notes of plum, ginger, pear & cotton candy to entice them. Or will it be Dial M for Marshmallow (I loved that movie) with sweetness from marshmallow, yellow cupcakes & sprinkles. How about Halo-Halo Ween? This is awesome…plantain, flan, cinnamon & other delicious notes make up this scent.

You can order any of these scents in Crater Lake’s lotions, butters, scrubs, perfumes, shower gels, shampoo or conditioner. Two special things about Crater Lake. You can choose the strength of your fragrances (always a nice feature) & Sharonn is very generous with the samples upon placing an order. Be sure to subscribe to their newsletter so you will not have to miss out on their very popular sales.

Enjoy!

It’s a really exciting thing to be able to have a piece of jewelry that you want to keep close to your heart & that’s the feeling that I have about AquaBeet. Amy Volchok is this owner & she creates custom jewelry which will win your heart over.

Earlier this year, I lost my Aunt Betty. Amy sent me her Free Spirit bracelet with Aunt Betty’s name engraved on the inside. It’s so beautiful. Amazing. The love that is put into Aqua Beet’s jewelry is not to be believed.

AquaBeet specializes in sterling silver cuffs (among other things). Each cuff is handmade by Amy as it is ordered. She has suggestions of sayings that you can have on your bracelet or you can come up with your own. Since the jewelry is custom, it’s not a problem!

Shoppers will also be interested in their lovely copper ornaments & photo frame necklaces. No two items are exactly the same & that’s part of the beauty.

Check out Amy’s work & AquaBeet today & let her know you found her at Wickedly Chic!
