I have a wee little obsession. Well, more than one but we’ll just leave those things aside. The obsession that I’m talking about is that my hands must be smooth and feel moisturized at all times. I visited my parents this morning and one of my final comments to my mother was “Don’t forget to moisturize.” It’s kind of like brush your teeth. But she does that.

Penny Tallent, the owner of Zularis Naturals has brought the business of taking care of your hands and feet to an art form. In a previous life, Penny was a nurse who was constantly dealing with cracked hands from commercial products. In her next life, she was a manicurist dealing with the same problems. In round three, Penny decided that she could take care of her own extremities and started research to launch her own business.

With autumn sort of starting to arrive, it’s time to pay attention to those hands & tootsies & Zularis is a great place to start. It’s a good idea to start with fabulous ingredients & Zularis delivers the goods. Skin loving treats such as cocoa butter, avocado oil, shea butter, apricot kernel oil, evening primrose oil & soothing calendula can be found in the products. I’d recommend starting out with one of their Hand & Nail Care Kits which contains their Intensive Repair Cuticle Oil, Soothing Milk Soak, Hand & Foot Scrub, Hand & Body Rub, Aloe & Shea Butter Lotion & a callous reducer/foot file, emery boards & cuticle sticks are included….along with instructions. One of the best parts is that their signature scent is unisex so this kit can be easily used by a male or female.

One of the things that I got so excited about with the Zularis website is that Penny gives specific instructions for giving yourself a manicure & pedicure. Step by step, she shows shoppers the way. A very cool feature.

In my very own previous life, I paid a visit to the Full Moon Candle Co. shop in Sequim, Washington. I was with my Aunt Betty who I have mentioned a number of times within the pages of Wickedly Chic. I met Joy Castaneda & she told me that she had spent many years perfecting the art of candle making. This was about 6 years ago so she’s had even more time to hone her craft.

I walked out of there with about 6 candles and my Aunt Betty said, “Vat you tink you goingk to do with dese?” Burn them, of course. I did & loved every minute of it.

Fast forward about 6 years & I found that Full Moon Candle has a beautiful website with lots of new scents. Since then, they’ve become a regular Wickedly Chic advertiser & here we are featuring this absolutely fabulous candle business.

Before I start in on the candles, I’d like to mention their wonderful smelling potpourri. Choose from Nature Walk, Orange Spice or Pineapple Cilantro. The potpourri has been soaked in fragrance oils for at least 6 weeks and I’m told that the scent will last up to a year. Great for gift giving for others or yourself.

If you’re familiar with tarts or melts (for a burner), you’ll love the melts from Full Moon. They’re strong & beautifully scented. We’ve tried Cafe Macchiato, Cranberry Clove, Apple Crisp & Creme Brule. All of these scents are wonderful for autumn.

The candles at Full Moon are pillars & very very strongly scented. I can’t say enough about the quality of these and the excellent and clean burn. You’ll get hours of pleasure from these. We’ve tried and adored Hawaii (ylang ylang & white orchid), Pineapple Cilantro, Exotic Teak (sandalwood, amber & musk), Sticks N Twigs (eucalyptus & spearmint), Jamaican Spice (best seller!) & Pumpkin Spice. No misses in this bunch. Love ‘em all.

Placing an order with Full Moon will make you very happy, I promise. They’re sweetening the deal by offering Wickedly Chic readers a 20% discount by using code Wicked at checkout. This offer is good through October 31, 2008.

I have a kid who keeps wanting to change her room around. In the last few years, we’ve had it painted about 3 or 4 times. Every time, she says that this is IT but the next thing I know…change is imminent once again.

Enter Decorette. This is a line of self-adhesive wall decals which can change your room instantly without making you drag out a can of paint. When you are tired of the decals, they’re so easy to remove and you can start all over again with something different. If you, your spouse, partner, parent or kid are the fickle type, Decorette can be your new best friend. Words can’t describe how great these decals are.

Choose from a chandelier (looks like we will be ordering this), His and Hers (so cute), New York skyline, palm trees or even this darling jungle set pictured here. Thanks to Decorette, this set is in my home and the pictures on their website do not do it justice. You’ll just have to head on over & see the other choices…the photos of the decals are wonderful & you can get some placement ideas from the website alone.

This Australian-based business deserves your love. Let them know we sent you.
