Fresh and Chic: Michabella Creations/Jackson Sage - June 26, 2008
If you’re looking for a new piece of jewelry this week (and who isn’t), you might want to consider Michabella Creations. This independent business came about when two moms decided to put their talents together to create jewelry that is affordable & chic. Their goal was to produce high-quality jewelry at prices that won’t break your bank & they’ve done it very well.
Using only quality materials such as genuine Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls & semi-precious gemstones, Michelle & Cindy have several lines of attractive pieces. You’ll want to look at their gorgeous ankle bracelets (remember…it’s summer). Brass filigree pieces are another of Michabella’s specialities. There’s a wonderful Cancer Awareness line as well as watches. The watches deserve a good look….they’re beautiful & functional. I love the Sparkling Minute watch with rounds of lapis lazul & silver….with an awesome price of just $30.00. Pictured here is the Cafe au Lait necklace with mother of pearl & chocolate Swarovski crystals. For $28.00, you definitely deserve to dress yourself up with this necklace.
Shop & feel good about it Purchase any Cancer Awareness piece and a portion will be donated to organizations such as the American Cancer Society & Children’s Miracle Network.
Lord have mercy on the bath & body addict such as myself. There is such an unbelievable array of indie businesses out there & I seem to be discovering plenty of them. Richmond, Virginia-based Jackson Sage is my newest love. Follow me & meet proprietress Erika Hollen and Jackson Sage.
First of all, these are healthy products for your precious skin. A member of the Organic Trade Association, Jackson Sage products contain no parabens, formaldehyde, petroleum, sodium lauryl sulfate, synthetic colorants or synthetic fragrance. This is good…we know they’re healthy for you. So…what do they have? Fabulous soap…I recommend the Blue Eucalyptus & Organic Lavender…which contains fair trade shea butter, organic almond oil, french green clay & apricot meal along with luscious essential oils.
I love the Lavender MicroScrub. This really cool product can be mixed with your regular cleanser (or a Jackson Sage cleanser) for gentle skin exfoliation. You can either use a very little bit every day or a tad more and exfoliate once a week. Either way, you don’t need much of this fabulous product & you’ll love the results! Try their toners. These will put balance back in your skin…gently…without harsh chemicals.
Whatever you do, don’t miss the Field Day Recovery Cream. The texture is outstanding & this cream is gentle enough for the face…my dry skin loves this. Made with aloe vera, lavender & peppermint oils & rose hip seed oil, you can use it all over your body…wonderful for sun exposed skin. So soothing & so gentle. Jackson Sage has a line of products for your doggies too…and your bath…really, they have something for everyone. PLUS…they have a recycling program where you can have your containers refilled…at a 40% discount. They ask you to use the packing materials that your package was originally shipped in & back your empties. When they refill the empties (at that great discount), Jackson Sage will pay for the return shipping! And..if you join their mailing list, you’ll receive a $5.00 coupon.
