Beautify Me: Chicago Honey Co-Op - March 27, 2008
It’s been a little while since my last review, the family and I have been down with the flu and strep. I’m hoping that this never ending cycle is about to end, keeping my fingers crossed at least.
It’s always nice when you are feeling blue to have some special things on hand for a “temple” ritual. You know, taking care of you from top to bottom. Not only do I like to focus on good healthy nutritious foods when I’m feeling down, but a little easy pampering on the side is needed. Luckily I had some wonderful products on hand from Chicago Honey Co-op.
I was truly excited to have these products during my “temple” time because the products start with raw honey and incorporate delicious natural ingredients, something I’m very fond of. First up was the Honey Bath Scrub. Right from start, the classy labeling and simple packaging put a smile on my face and made for a great opening to a wonderful sugar scrub. The citrus aroma from the various essential oils was a very light touch, and not over powering. I really enjoyed this scrub…the chunky sugary bits made for great exfoliating and the oil blend was just right.
After a good scrub, it’s always good for your skin to follow up with a moisturizer. The Chicago Honey Co-op fills this need with their Moisturizing Body Bar. I love it because the simple & basic ingredients are all combined to do the job that it’s meant to do without fillers or unnecessary preservatives. I think you’ll agree when you warm this body bar in your hands and massage the smoothing oils into your skin. Lastly for my review was their Lip Balm…no flavor & chemical free but all the right things to give you a light smear of balm and moisturizer.
Head over to Chicago Honey Co-op for delicious honey, pure beeswax candles, and their delightful line of bath and body products.
