Fresh and Chic: Dancing Dingo/Mode Merr - March 13, 2008
First of all, I love the name of this business. Dancing Dingo. It makes you wanna dance and dingo all over the place. Okay…bad joke. But seriously…this is a very cute name. Actually, Dancing Dingo was named after the owner’s dog, Margaret. She loves to dance & she’s a happy dog…so the name of this business was named after happiness!
Based in Austin, TX, Dancing Dingo is owned by Kathy Goodwin & she creates wonderful products for your body…and even for the body of your dog. Before I even mention the products, I should point out that Dancing Dingo has a page dedicated to Ingredients on their website…this page has a lot of valuable information and will help you to make informed choices when placing your order.
So let’s talk about the products that I have tried. I loved them all but have to admit that I am enjoying an addiction to their Shea Butter Hand Cream made with pure lavender essential oil. This product slides on your skin keeping it quenched & feeling really soft. There’s a winning list of ingredients including aloe vera gel, sweet almond oil & shea butter. Buy this!
Also with the lavender scent, I tried the Dingo Baby Lavender Lotion. Gentle for babies & fabulous for adults…this product is free of paraben & mineral oil. Another winner for moisturizing is the Cocoa & Shea Butter Body Lotion. I tried this in Essential Ginger & Rosemary Mint. Both are wonderful fragrances.
I tried two products from the very gentle Dingo Baby line. Both the Massage Oil & the Body Butter are top notch. The Dingo Baby line is ideal for parents that are concerned about what they are putting on baby’s skin.
Finally, I sampled one of their Soy Candles in Love Spell. This is a very close duplicate of the popular Victoria’s Secret fragrance. Soy is healthy for the environment & this candle came in a travel tin…perfect for…well…traveling.
Join the Dancing Dingo family & check out their informative website. Don’t miss their dog products, beautiful soap & bath and body oils.
Now if you are starting to think warmer weather like I am thinking warmer weather…then you might be considering a new dress or two. I have the place for you. Up in New Hampshire, you can find talented ladies creating retro inspired women’s clothing. Wait till you see the website. It’s really adorable.
You won’t have to worry about not finding your size. One thing that makes Mode Merr stand out is that their clothing comes in a wide range of sizes. You can order from size XXS – XXXL. They have a chart on their website to help you choose the correct size.
They sent me the Star & Anchor Dress which is very very chic & I love it. You’ll see it pictured here. This dress is made of a stretch fabric so it is very comfortable & besides the anchor & the stars, the dress is fashioned with red lace. The dress has a very flattering fit as the hemline has an a-line shape.
I was very excited about this dress & when I went to try it on…I realized that I had a problem. I’m a marshmallow! I need a tan. Badly. Here I have this awesome dress that I can recommend to readers…and I’m a marshmallow. Fortunately, I will be heading to a warmer climate shortly and I plan to rectify that problem.
Mode Merr has a number of items on sale for 40% off right now so be sure to hop on over immediately to check it all out. Keep in mind that all of the clothing is made right here in the USA & will be custom made….just for you! Enjoy!
