A Girl's Gotta Eat: Delightful Pastries - December 6
Always loving to discover a new independent food source, I was happy to find Delightful Pastries on a recent visit to a holiday gift show. Located on Chicago’s northwest side, if you’re lucky enough to live in the Chicago area, this is a great place to visit. If not, never fear. Mail order is available…thank goodness!
Dobra Bielinski is the owner of Delightful Pastries & her Polish roots give the baked goods a European flair. Personally, I prefer baked goods that are not as sweet as typical American ones & I do appreciate the fact that Delightful Pastries does cut back on the sugar. We just don’t need that much!
Their Christmas menu includes Pecan Pie (they use 1/2 pound of pecan halves for every pie!), Apple Cranberry Streusel Pie, Homemade Eggnog, Key Lime Pie, Sticky Toffee Pudding & Cranberry Bread Pudding.
If you are in the city of Chicago and place an order for $60.00 or more, Delightful Pastries will provide free delivery. If you aren’t in Chicago (or even in Illinois)...again…they will ship & I guarantee that you will love everything that you try.
