Indies of the Week: Clear Creek Soap/A Quirk of Art - October 25

In my never-ending soap obsession, I’m thrilled to have found Roberta Busher at Clear Creek Soap. This California soapmaker makes fabulous cold process soaps in small batches that not only smell wonderful…but are fabulous for your skin.

Roberta starts out with what she calls the “Holy Trinity of Oils” (olive oil, coconut oil & palm oil) and goes from there when making her soaps. Her moisturizing soaps may also have shea butter, cocoa butter, aloe vera, oatmeal, goat’s milk, buttermilk, coconut milk & rice bran oil added to them.

Add those great ingredients to scents such as Apple Cinnamon, Pumpkin Spice, Spiced Ginger & Lavender Mint & you know that you will be having quality bathing experiences. You’ll also fall in love with Clear Creek’s Body Balms which are loaded with cocoa butter, shea butter, sweet virgin almond oil & vitamin E. Don’t miss the Lavender (one of my favorite comfort sniffs).

Shoppers will love the shipping price as well…just $6.50 for every order. Let them know that you heard about them right here…where it all happens…Wickedly Chic.

I have an awesome find for fabulous & unique jewelry to share with Wickedly Chic readers. A Quirk of Art is a Pennsylania-based business owned by jewelry designer, Beth Taylor. The pieces that you find in her shop are all created using recycled & vintage materials (such as hardware, vintage tin, ephemera & cultural relics) & then dreamed up in Beth’s mind. She calls her jewelry addictive & I’d have to agree. You just never know what will be available & that’s one of the fun parts of shopping indie.

The sterling silver bracelet pictured here has the coolest hand-fabricated & etched hearts. So elegant. I love the fact that all of the jewelry that Beth creates uses the old & new to make chic pieces.

A Quirk of Art welcomes custom orders. Be sure to check out her Life Relics section where she creates custom pieces for special occasions or special people in your life.

Gorgeous jewelry fashioned by a talented woman…a great place to consider for holiday gift giving (or just gift giving for yourself…we all deserve it).
