Indies of the Week: Maryam's Soap Nook/Lift Me Up Cards
Camie Dunbar is on to a very good thing. Her company is called Lift Me Up Cards & she provides greeting cards for customers to send to friends who have had “work” done. According to Lift Me Up, there are over 8.5 million women every year who undergo plastic surgery. Who knew? Certainly not me. In fact, I was with a friend last night who just went to her 20th high school reunion & she told me that she was shocked at the amount of women who had met with the knife. Three of the women had complete make-overs. Who knew?
I carefully checked my over 40 (and still pretty cute) face in my rear view mirror & thought…NOT. Medical procedures aren’t my bag. But…there have to be cards for EVERY occasion & these are some of the most creative & hilarious that I have seen. I mean…you really can’t send a card to a friend who has had plastic surgery & say, “I hope you get better soon.”. Nope..that just would not do. So that means that you jump on over & pick up one or two of Camie Dunbar’s clever creations & you’ll have just the right words! Even if you don’t know a gal who has just had a boob job, check out the cards anyway. They’re so worth it.
There’s one word to use that describes Maryam Diaab & that is amazing. I’ve written about her business before & most likely said the same thing. Her lovely shop is Maryam’s Soap Nook & it is here that any bath & body aficionado can find heaven. OMG…you just don’t even know what to choose. And her soaps. Stunning, moisturizing, scentfully delicious, beautiful, creative…I could go on & on.
Maryam’s soap list is ever changing but they are always wonderful. Each soap is loaded with goat’s milk, monoi de Tahiti oil, olive oil, shea butter & gorgeous fragrance.
