Last week, we featured an awesome indie soap biz & this week, we bring you another one. Kettlepot Soap was born in an old New England farmhouse & you are just gonna love what’s cookin’ in this pot!

I asked Pam, the lovely owner of Kettlepot, to tell our readers about her wonderful business.

Pam tells us, “Inspired by some terrific bars of all vegetable soap that I brought back from Ireland, I started learning about and making soap in 2001. After a number of tries and different combinations of oils, I finally settled on a mix of mostly olive oil, with palm, coconut, canola and soybean oils. I use soft, fresh well water from our 200 year old farm house and all bars are superfatted just a bit to be extra mild and moisturizing. All bar soaps retain their natural glycerin, a skin softening, humectant product that is produced in the soap process.”

“The soaps are scented with fragrance oils and/or essential oils, and some contain additives such as loofah or apricot seed scrubs, flower petals, herbs, spices, honey and/or oatmeal. Some of the herbs and flower petals are from my gardens. All soaps are handcut and wrapped in fabric with raffia ties. KP Soap offers a wide range of scents in several categories: Floral or Fruit; Clean, Green or Mint; Warm and Earthy. There are even categories for soaps that Men and Children may prefer as well as Uniquely scented soaps. The Herbal soap section contains those soaps and other products that are scented with only essential oils. Check out this section for the Eucalyptus Mint Magic Liquid Soap that is naturally antibiotic and free of triclosan.” Ladies, this Eucalyptus Mint soap rocks! I used it in my kitchen & am planning on placing an order for some! Gentle on the hands & smells great, too!

Pam continues, “After soaps, I branched out into lotions and lip lotions, developing and testing several recipes before creating the current lotions and balms. Currently, KP Soap has about 60 different flavors of lip lotion. The lip lotions have shea butter, cocoa butter and vitamin E and are sweetened with stevia, a plant extract. They glide on smoothly and offer a great shine! The Hand and Body lotion is paraben free and has over 30 different ingredients including glycerin, allantoin, black willow bark extract, evening primrose oil, shea butter, jojoba oil and more.”

“The Shea and Glycerin Skin Solution Buttercream which is meant to be a more heavy duty lotion that provides extra glycerin and shea butter for extra moisturizing. The solid lotion is great for elbows and other trouble spots.” Love this amazing lotion!!

“I know that there are a lot of small soapers out there so all I can say is that I’ve gotten many great compliments on my products over the years. People with sensitive skin, damaged skin or even persistent skin conditions have all been happy with KP Soap products. Feedback on the lotions and lip balms has been quite positive. People really appreciate the great selection, knowing they can always find a favorite and something new to try. Since it is a one-woman venture, I can easily handle custom orders such as favors or gifts, or even prepare special products for folks. One unique feature of KP Soap is the ability to order custom scented lotions to match essentially any soap scent.”

I tried the Black Pepper Recharge soap (a new scent) which is a woodsy musky mix…it’s gorgeous. The Oatmeal, Milk & Honey was not only gentle but has such a wonderful & calming scent. I also loved the Scottish Highlands bar with a heather & mint scent. The sheer amount of amazing scents available will knock your socks off…!

Don’t miss the Lavender Fields scent in the Hand & Body lotion if you love lavender (I’m nutso about lav). Happily moisturizing & smells amazing.

I loved everything that I tried & not only that…the packaging is adorable. If you are looking for a long list of soaps that are moisturizing & good for you, this is the place to shop. Prices are reasonable & the customer service is awesome. Lucky for Wickedly Chic readers, Pam is offering a coupon code for 20% off until midnight June 10 with code “firefly”. Yay! Time to make an order!
