*Indie Shopping for the Wickedly Fashionable* - May 24
So last week, I wrote about my gym shoes & I had other ideas for this week…but I’ve already forgotten them. Typical woman. The idea pops into your head and 10 minutes later…you can’t remember what it is.
We’ve had server issues here at Wickedly Chic this week & we finally have them straightened out…and we are running behind. I was able to catch up on some reading while I was waiting & waiting and I’d like to share a quote that I found while reading BUST magazine. This came from America Ferrera in CosmoGIRL. “My high school days were definitely not the best days of my life. I think everything you learn in high school, you have to spend the rest of your life unlearning. A lot of what high school was about for me was not being myself…But I think the truth is that what you’re wearing on the outside doesn’t change the fact that most people (even beautiful girls) feel the same doubts, fears, and insecurities on the inside.” I love what she said & I shared it with my daughters…and now, the Wickedly Chic readers. If they haven’t read it already. In BUST. Which I bought twice. At two different times. Because…I forgot.
I’d like to introduce our Reader of the Week. She is the lovely Yana Berlin and she reads Wickedly Chic from her home in southern California. Yana is a wife, mother of 4 & active businesswoman. She also has her own indie business, Fabulously 40 which is chock-full of interesting articles, fabulous over-40 women to “meet” & even a place to blog right on her site. When she re-launches (which is coming up soon) Yana told me that she is going to have a dating service on the site! Yay! How fun! Check it out!
