Funky & Fabulous!: MissWitDesigns/Harrilu - April 5Fab indie T’s!
Okay, so I’m totally obsessed with tees. Ones with sayings, graphics, whatever…anything to make a statement & attract some attention! Well MissWit Designs delivers with her “What to Wear” tee in the sheer puffy sleeve style that’s a must have. In a light mauve, the tee has a funky background graphic with a witty paradox of 1970’s fashionista advice about proper dress: “clean, pressed, tasteful clothes that are loose enough to show you’re a lady and well-fitting enough to show you’re a girl”. Please. I can’t wait to show my mom this one as I pair it with my tight, overpriced jeans & over the top high heel pointy boots. Yes, I’ll feel pretty too…
Who’s the chick behind MissWit.net? That would be the sarcastic social worker from Brooklyn, NY, Deborah Goldstein. She has a ton of fun tees on her site that you must check out including designs by several artists with whom she’s collaborated.
Florals, dots, birds & swirls… those are just some of what illustrator Megan from TX loves to draw & then hand silk screen onto comfy clothes. Her designs are so charming, sweet & feminine but surprisingly modern as well. My faves include her Poppy tee that has simple red poppies on a slate cap sleeved tee & her Black and Pink Floral Dots tee just has to be in my collection very soon. There’s no way I could wear that one without getting asked “where did you get that fab tee”! I know I say this all the time, but these really are wearable art.
Check out Megan’s Harrilu etsy site for all of her original designs, not only women but for children, men & even pups too!
shop indie. it’s just better. & lots more fun.
