Wicked Love: You Stink Soap/Mad City Sue/Celtic GoddessAnother round of talented members of the EGCG, Etsy Green & Clean Guild, can be found right here. These women are hard at work making bath & body products that bazillions of customers are loving and ordering. Each business is different and that is one of the awesome parts of shopping indie.
There is only one way to “stink” and that is to “stink pretty”. You don’t have to worry about that with Sandra Gamelin’s business called You Stink Soap. There is a great selection of handmade cold process soaps in this shop. You are sure to find a winner!
Some of the great bars include the peppermint & tea tree (I love this one). This can be used as a facial bar or all over your body. Great for acne & dermatitis and superfatted with shea butter. The Stormy Nights is a deliciously scented soap. With a blend of hyacinth and heather with hints of lilac & rain, you are sure to sing spring while washing with this beautiful soap. You Stink Soap uses moisturizing ingredients including olive, coconut & palm oils. The items sold in this shop are vegan. Stink no more & enjoy the fab selection of lip balms as well as soap.
From one of my favorite small cities in the world, Madison, is Sue Laack with an indie business appropriately named, Mad City Sue. I love sugar body scrubs & some of the most gorgeous scrubs can be found here. They are almost too pretty to use! Yet a girl has to do what she must….....and I found these delectable. You can’t miss the strawberry shortcake scent with the beautiful layers & perfect springtime smell. These scrubs are the best selling item at Mad City Sue. Each scrub can be custom ordered where you can choose the fragrance & intensity of the scent, color or multiple colors and the size). Woot!
Soy souffles are another wonderful item…with a simple ingredient list & a product that feels like heaven on your skin. Frozen Green Tea Souffle would be delightful for spring. Sue makes some groovy soy candles. I loved my Watermelon Bellini candle…it has that fun summer sniff. Sue hand pours all of her candles & they are made with cotton wicks & very highly fragranced. You can find beautiful soaps, dry oil sprays & body butters for all of your stinkin’ pretty needs at Mad City Sue. She might be “mad” but she’s good!
Celtic Goddess Jewelry and Sacred Waters Bath is a real treat in the Etsy world. Selling some fab jewelry & gorgeously stunning soaps, Andee Harston has shown that her talents lie in many areas. Can a soap really be gorgeously stunning or am I smokin’ something? Take a look for yourself. Andee’s soaps rival some of the most beautiful European brands & you almost don’t want to use them but ya gotta. The “Geeky Soaps” are a best seller containing 5% hemp seed oil. You can have these scented with Nag Champa or Dragon’s Blood fragrance oils.
I was wild about the hand colored art soap. Andee prints the hand colored image on water soluble papers & then encases it in crystal clear glycerin soap. You have a customized pic in these soaps. The Citron et Figue is the most stunning scent & I absolutely love it. Sniff sniff. It’s good for you. Andee told me that, “I am very contentious about my soap bases. I only buy from suppliers that do not test on animals during ANY step of their processing. The glycerin in the bases I select are of plant, not animal origin. Aside from the goat’s milk additives and honey additives, my soaps contain no animal products. I always have vegan soaps available.”
Don’t miss her jewelry as it is equally lovely. You can find more jewels that are handcrafted by this goddess at Celtic Goddess Jewelry.
