Mobiles are for babies? Leah Pellegrini, glass torcher extraordinaire, begs to differ! The full-time artist & teacher designs & creates beautiful glass mobiles just for us! Her work is inspired by acclaimed sculptor Alexander Calder’s “Kenetic Mobiles” that fill the air & taunt our imaginations. True works of amazing art, they are made out of wire & assorted shapes of torched glass in an array of colors. Each one is unique & Leah will make one to your custom specifications. Some are as big as 5 feet tall & wide! People proudly hang those in their living spaces, entry ways or, even cooler, their windows with the natural light making a wonderful display of color.

For those of us on a smaller art budget, thanks to Leah for creating her “Mobi – the mini mobile Mobile”! About 7” in size with a hook, it can be hung just about anywhere. She even makes some all ready to stick & hang on the side of your computer monitor. The perfect way to brighten up your work day!

Okay, those of you who know me well know that I like “little” fun things. My hubby often says I should open a store of just all “little” things. Ha! So when I came across artist Pamela Corwin’s little alarm clocks, of course I thought they were the cutest things ever! Pamela’s been painting since she was a kid & now has her own studio & business, Paper Scissors Rock. She uses watercolor, acrylic & sometimes elements of collage in her work. Pamela says about art… “It’s as much what keeps me alive as food and oxygen.”

Her original paintings are reproduced onto her products (clocks of all sizes & magnets). The charming alarm clocks are 2” square & adorned with her fab paintings. But that’s not all, the second hand is a small rotating image that looks like it’s floating above the clock face! I am easily excited by these things! I’m sure you will be too! So check out her site & see all of her whimsical, colorful products!
