Fresh and Chic: Deity/Blaque Orchid/Tortuga Cakes - March 1
The newly launched Deity Treasures is a lovely Australian indie business founded by two sisters. The sisters realized that there is a lot of jewelry on the market & plenty of competition and they needed to find a way to distinguish themselves. Each piece of handcrafted jewelry is inspired by the goddesses of ancient Greek mythology.
When browsing for a unique & fun new piece of jewelry, it’s fun to find something with meaning behind it. That way, when asked where your lovely bauble came from, not only can you share the name of the indie business but you have an interesting tale as well. The Muses bracelet shown here would add chicness to any outfit with its meaningful charms. Unique bracelets, earrings & necklaces with affordable prices will make Deity Treasures a site that you will want to bookmark & travel to often when looking for new jewels.
Here’s another amazing place to buy unique jewelry. Meet Eeon, the proprietress of The Blaque Orchid. Prior to making jewelry, she worked for years in the fashion design industry. She loves the jewelry business and feels that jewelry is more immediately gratifying and a collection can be developed more quickly than a line of clothing. You will see that the pieces sold by The Blaque Orchid are spectacularly different & will add much to anyone’s jewelry collection. The only two constants that Eeon uses in her pieces are wire & semi-precious stones.
The wire earrings are so chic & perfect for summer fun. Love the gold with its fun shapes. The earrings pictured here are made with suede & wire and will turn heads no matter where you go. Make it a pair with the gorgeous bracelet that matches the earrings. Stay in touch with The Blaque Orchid as the collection changes often.
Yes, my mother-in-law is Wickedly Chic. The adorable Beth Nonnemacher will tell readers about Tortuga Cakes. This business is located in Denver, CO and has been around for over 20 years and makes delicious rum cakes.
I asked Mrs. Nonnemacher to describe her rum cake eating experience with our readers & she was delighted to do so. “These rum cakes are so wonderful and tasty. I tried the banana, the chocolate and the pineapple. The rum cakes could only be made tastier by serving them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (and perhaps a cherry on top). Drinking a glass of milk with these cakes is a nice idea as well. If you are having company, you would be wise to have a supply of Tortuga Rum Cakes on hand.” What an awesome testimonial to a great indie business!
