Couture & Candy: Pretty Good Things / PurpleMe

I think the Couture & Candy finds this week are refreshing and am excited to have the opportunity to share them with our lovely readers.

First up is Pretty Good Things, and really, the name says it all. You’ll find a blend of the quintessential & trendy goods, all at irresistible prices. Mary Pattavina is the mastermind of this gem of an indie business and her enterprise is nothing less than admirable. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Apparel Design while juggling her website, ETSY shop and a family as well. Mary truly has an innate talent for creating novel designs and her work spans from creating jewelry to household trinkets.

If you thought wearing a corsage was only for weddings and graduations, you may want to think again. Pretty Good Things is dressing down the accent piece to make it wearable any day of the week. Wide, bubblegum pink ribbon ties neatly around your wrist while an earthy nest containing 3 adorable eggs is the focal point of the corsage. Retailing for only $6, be the first of your friends to sport this bracelet replacement from Pretty Good Things.

I have to say PurpleMe contains some of my favorite jewelry designs as of late. What started out in 2003 as a shop that contained a variety of unique goods has streamlined its product line to now focus on jewelry. Jinny has integrated mixed parts such as charms, gems & suede to bring a fresh appeal to her work. An element you’ll also find filtered through her pieces is wire that she has hand sculpted bringing a personal touch to your purchase. It has always been her goal to stand out from the crowd of production line wares and she’s amazingly found a way to treat her customers to one-of-a-kind jewelry while remaining kind to your wallet.

Stars Caught is a little something to wet your appetite for PurpleMe’s soon to be released line of necklaces. A mini black hematite star is woven into a smashing silver filigree background. Silver plated wire is wound to hug the hanging purple glass bead.

If purple is a little out of your comfort zone, you’ll actually find that majority of the product line is in robust metallics and complementing colors. Visit them today!
