Beautify Me: Bidwell Botanicals / Mop Top After I had a taste of a day at the spa last Spring, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wished I could go back! Well, thanks to Jill Jones from Bidwell Botanicals, I can recreate the spa experience in the comfort of my own bathroom. Her products are soothing and refreshing, and I always come out feeling transformed!
The Blue Algae Body Glow is an amazing salt scrub that smells like the ocean air and polishes your skin to a healthy glow. It’s made with sea salt, shea butter, and wonderful emollients, and worked wonders on my dry elbows and knees. (Oh, by the way, it’s 10% off this month!) There’s also a Honey Bamboo sugar scrub that can’t go without mention. It exfoliates and nourishes your skin with bamboo powder and green tea extract. Other goodies that have become fast favorites—the Spa Bar (a decadent soap made from dead sea mud, kelp powder and essential oils), the PM Foot Repair (peppermint salvation for your tired tootsies), and the Chocolate Truffle Hydrating Body Milk (oh baby!). Oh, and do keep an eye out this spring for the new Limoncello Shea Butter Sugar Scrub. Pure heaven.
This one is for the moms out there! Well, technically it’s for the kids, but moms will appreciate it. From our friend, Kelly Foreman of MopTop, comes a new line of kids haircare called FuzzyDuck! Four awesome products designed to tame the frizzies and keep those nasty tangles at bay, in shampoo, conditioner, gel and refresher spray. My daughter, who is 4, doesn’t have a frizz problem, but definitely gets tangles. The first time I tried it on her, there was a noticeable difference. Her hair was softer and shinier, and I didn’t have to hear “Ow!” every time the brush went through her hair!
There are no alcohols or sulfates in these, so they won’t dry out hair, and no silicones or waxes to leave a buildup. It’s all about moisture! I also love that it doesn’t smell like fruit candy, it has a nice, mild clean scent. So whether your little ones’ locks are dry, curly, unmanageable, or you just want to add some softness and shine, keep those feathers beautiful with the FuzzyDuck line!
