Indie of the Week: Callisto Bath & Body

I’m delighted to present Callisto Bath and Body as our Indie of the Week. This amazing small and thriving business will give our Wickedly Chic readers another reason to smell and feel great.

Originally called Moonbeam Bath and Body, Lorraine Hamilton teamed up with Kelli Stock to create an even more thriving business and renamed it Callisto, meaning “most beautiful”. As Lorraine explains, “Callisto was a Greek goddess and it’s also the name of a moon. The name is representative of beauty and magic, which is something we strive to bring to our product line, and to our customers when they incorporate fragrance into their daily routines.”

I can’t argue with anyone incorporating fragrance into a daily routine. Kelli Stock continues by telling us that “We created Callisto Bath & Body to be a place where anyone can find a bit of pampering luxury. The idea came from the notion that taking even 60 seconds during a busy morning to apply your favorite hand cream or use a special body mist can make a difference in the way you feel and the way you approach the rest of your day. We expanded on this idea by adding complementary products and fragrances, so our customers have choices and options, which we all need to express our individuality!” The ladies are correct. There are many options available in this lovely business and I have been fortunate enough to start exploring them.

First and foremost (and yes I have said this before) White Chocolate Pumpkin. Wasn’t this just mentioned in the last issue? Yes it was and for good reason. This is the sexiest fragrance and I love it so. Pilots and men who love spicy food will come running when they get a whiff of this. Don’t miss it.

Buttercloud. What can I say? This cream is a dream. Truly. I recently tried it in the Moonlight Musk and talk about another sexy scent. Lorraine adds more about the Buttercloud, “Our Buttercloud™ body moisturizer is a great example of incorporating natural ingredients with great whipped texture. Our fragrances are perfect for women who enjoy sophisticated, complex blends.”

Is your skin feeling a bit dry and you need some extra softness? I’m an admitted “scrub girl” and Callisto has a great scrub for dry skin. The Buttercloud Body Polish will do the trick for dry skin. Made with turbinado sugar and enriched with shea butter, this is a delight for any weary girl. Try it in the Vanilla Cream for a relaxing shower.

If you enjoy home fragrance (and don’t forget…home fragrance is good for the world) then you will love the home fragrance mist from Callisto. My favorite is the Jade Green Tea scent for a relaxing and peaceful existence in your home.

When you look at the Callisto website (and I know you will), you might find yourself overwhelmed by the long list of unique fragrances. Never fear. Kelli shared with me that she and Lorraine have a fragrance consulting service to help their customers choose just the right fragrance that will make them happy.

Callisto looks out for its customers in every way possible. The women are constantly coming out with new fragrances and products due to customer requests. In fact, the entire Callisto line has recently become free of artificial dyes and colorants. Many customers reported having sensitive skin and this was one way that Callisto was able to counter this issue.

Need some extra enticement? Callisto Bath and Body is offering Wickedly Chic readers a 10 percent discount with code WICKEDLY CHIC through November 15, 2006. Choose a new fragrance with this wonderful business and help the world smell like a better place…one body at a time.
