Indie of the Week: Bobe Bath Essentials![]() From beautiful Saskatchewan comes a wonderful bath and body company, Bobe Bath Essentials. Bobe is owned by our very own Couture & Candy editor, Marlese Sears. If you are looking for some new scents and/or some pampering for yourself and your loved ones, look to the queen of pampering herself. Marlese loves to experiment with fragrances and formulas and she has a lovely list of options – something to fit any mood or preference.
The Bobe site received its name in a most unlikely (and fun) way. As Ms. Sears explains, “The name b+ìb-ô happened by accident really, when my younger brother just brought home a new goldfish. He thought it would be fitting to call him Bobby, being the tender age of 8 that he was, spelt it wrong on his sheet of paper. When I pointed out to him that it said bobe instead, he decided to just call him that. I thought it sounded cute and decided to adopt the name. b+ìb-ô: beyond ordinary bath essentials was then born!” I love this story.
I’ve asked Marlese to share with Wickedly Chic readers and give them some of the options that Bobe offers and items that make Bobe unique. She tells us, “Being in Canada, the fall/winter air can be very drying – moisturizers are a great solution and I am excited to provide different product options. Our lightest moisturizer being the Goat’s Milk Glaze and our rich, deepest moisturizer Soy Whip Body Butter. Our lip balm is a favorite of mine, and one that I use exclusively. It’s a favorite of mine to make as well. The flavour menu will be expanding extensively over the fall/winter. Our body mist is also a light moisturizer, but not to be confused with a dry oil mist. Ours isn’t oily.”
Personally, I have used all of these products and can attest to the way that they work as well as the quality and care that goes into every item. Bobe Bath Essentials takes pride in every order that is made and you will know that each item is carefully and lovingly made just for you. Yet another reason to shop with our indie businesses. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to choose a scent that suits you personally and be able to choose products that are good for you.
Some of my favorite fragrances are White Cake (perfect oh so perfect for layering), Vanilla Tea Mist (light and lovely and beautifully different), Kiss Me Please (gently floral and very sexy), Spa (refreshing and wonderful) and Bermuda Triangle (fruity and totally sexy). Bobe has so many other beautiful fragrances to choose from and this is only a handful of a long list of scents. If you have dry skin, the Soy Whip Body Butter will be your best friend. Light and very moisturizing, I can’t see how anyone would not love this marvelous product. There isn’t a thing like it in the drug or department stores.
Marlese also would like Wickedly Chic readers to know that, “The product line will be expanding this fall/winter to include new moisturizing products (in both bath & body products) and roll-on perfume. New seasonal scents & flavours will be added to celebrate fall & the holidays.” She can’t give away any details but assures our readers that if they sign up for the Bobe newsletter (the sign up is located on the Bobe site) that they will be the first to know about new products and fragrances as they come out.
