Indie of the Week: Mahleewan
As we always do, Wickedly Chic has another fab site to share with our readers this week…introducing Mahleewan. What a beautiful and unusual name for a business, right? This happens to be the first name of the owner who is Thai and in Thailand, Mahleewan means “sweet jasmine”. And a sweet business this is.
Mahleewan began about a year ago when the lovely Mahlee was still living in Tucson. She had created jewelry in the past and when she went to a jewelry show, she knew that she needed to begin again. There’s more to this shop than just jewelry, though. Mahleewan has lovely reed diffusers with mouth watering fragranced oils. I highly recommend the D-Lovely fragrance but I am sure they are all wonderful. Mahlee told me that she will be coming out with mini diffusers next month. Moving on through Mahlee’s shop, you MUST try her body scrub. These are some of the finest body scrubs that I have ever tried. At a reasonable $8.00 for a 4 oz. tub, you can afford to treat yourself and purchase several fragrances. Formulated with sugar, these will keep your summer body smooth through the winter. She has a brand-new strawberry scent that I am just dying to try. Mahlee shared with me that next month she will be coming out with dead sea salt scrubs and body frosting scrubs. Based on her sugar body scrub, I can guarantee that these will be top notch. And if you haven’t tried a body scrub ever, this is the time to start. There’s nothing like them for getting rid of dead skin, making yourself smooth and enjoying a long lasting scent after you bathe.
Guess what Mahleewan offers and just in the nick of time? Lotion sticks! What a beautiful idea and so perfect for solving the problem of lotion now being banned on airplanes. Several fragrances are available and the cost is $6.00 for one or $15.00 for three.
