Yay! We are getting closer to fall. As a special heading into fall treat, I have spoken with some of our terrific businesses about new products that they have out for fall and I will let you know how much you NEED them!
Tracy at Bath and Body by Tracy tells me that her Satin Sheets soap is very popular right now. This sounds positively delicious. With base notes of white and dark chocolate, it smells almost edible! Other notes include violet, fresh jasmine, musk, blackberries, vanilla, and just a hint of fresh green top notes. I also spoke with Jean-Marie at Daisy Cakes Soap. She told me that she just came out with a line of 100% natural candles—natural soy wax, scented with pure essential oil & wicked with hemp/cotton wicks.
These come in scents such as patchouli, vanilla and lavender. Jean-Marie says that these are not overpowering candles but are beautifully scented and if you are feeling stressed, these are part of the answer for relaxation and peacefulness. Michelle at Flower Peddler told me that her fall line will debut on September 1. The Flower Peddler fall line will be quite impressive so I would suggest heading back there to take a look. In the meantime, indulge yourself in four new fall soaps…Lavender Pumpkins, Chocolate Mint (made with fair trade cocoa), Winter Solstice and Apple Cinnamon. I will definitely be back to this spot…all of Michelle’s items are top notch and the soaps rock!
Aloha Coconut is another wonderful bath and body business to shop at. Jenny (the owner) told me that they have an Autumn Sampler available which is a great way to try their spectacular products at a reasonable cost. You will receive each of the following: 1/4 oz. jar of Aloha Body Frosting in Pumpkin Frappuccino, 1/4 oz. jar of Aloha Body Creme in Hazelnut Truffle, 1/3 oz. of Paradise Pulse Perfume in Lolita Lempicka type and 1/4 oz. jar of Twinkle Toes creme in Peppermint Chocolate. I will be doing a feature for Curtis and Nicole at Bathed and Infused next week and they sent me a number of their new fall items to try. While everything will be mentioned in the feature, their brand new Honey Dream Hand Cream made with cocoa butter is totally awesome. This cream glides into your hands with no greasy feeling at all. I have heard a number of raves about this hand cream and the raves are well deserved.
Definitely not new but one of my favorite fall scents is Vanilla Bean Noel type perfume (vanilla with caramel) from Cleanse Your Soul. Judy Woerner, the owner of Cleanse Your Soul, does a bang up job with this fragrance and smelling it means that fall is on the way. This is a beautiful scent and her perfume is strong and comforting…just the way that Vanilla Bean Noel should be.
Finally, I have a brand new love. I have just recently become acquainted with Sparkle Puss. Michelle, the owner of Sparkle Puss is a Seattleite who makes wonderful candles and tarts (among other items) with Seattle names for every scent. I’m absolutely crazy over Ferry Terminal Tomato Leaf. This lovely scent lasts forever. I have it in a clam shell tart type.
