Indie of the Week: The Succulent Wife

Your friends at Wickedly Chic cannot say enough about this site. The Succulent Wife is a wonderful resource to know about and if you haven’t checked it out or haven’t heard of it, there is no better time than right now!

Anne-Marie Kovacs is the chief wife and she is a darling one. The Succulent Wife was recently launched (in November 2005) and already has a growing and popular business. Check out the terrific bag below. Can’t you see yourself carrying this from summer into fall? It’s so adorable with the stripes and the detail! To die for!!!

The coolest thing about this site is that you can order goods from many different artists. Anne-Marie told me that she exclusively sells the work of women artists, designers, inventors and creators. She focuses on carrying items in her shop that you would find in that really cool and funky gift shop that you love visiting! The Succulent Wife prides itself on constantly introducing new treasures to the site. It pays to shop often at this site! Another one of my favorites is below. This necklace has that fun “hippie” look that is great for summer.

The Succulent Wife started with just two artists on the site and now has a collection that represents over thirty artists! This means that there is always something new and different on this site which keeps it a happenin’ place. Anne-Marie has shared with me that she is working on creating her own line for her site, mostly in the home accents category (tableware, linens, etc.) Anne-Marie has an extensive background in marketing and has done such a beautiful job creating a lovely online “store”. You will feel as though you have shopped in one of the chicest boutiques without having left home (and spent time searching for a parking space)!!
