Indie of the Week: Bigger Krissy
Meet Krissy. She’s my new hero. Truly. Krissy has a wonderful heart and is hysterically funny…all at the same time.
Everyone needs to be introduced Bigger Krissy!!! BiggerKrissy makes some very cool stuff with great stories behind them. Her main item is the biggerCritter. These are stuffed plushie lovers to hang around with you. No boyfriend? No girlfriend? Lack of romance? Not a problem when you have a biggerCritter. Krissy started making these critters four years ago as a complete fluke. Here she was…working 100 hours a week at a web job…with no hobbies of any kind! Oh…you too? All the more reason to have a critter :) Krissy decided that she was going to turn into a bigger and better version of herself and she decided to find some hobbies. She tried knitting, Spanish, hula dancing, collage…she tried everything. Finally she realized that what she really liked was candy and toys. So… toys it was! She didn’t know how to sew but she quickly learned how and started making these weird shaped plushies. Weird shaped, maybe. But cute and lovable? Of course! The critters range in price from 12 dollars up to 70 dollars. There is a critter for everyone in your life! These lovable friends can be found in hip art galleries in Los Angeles but…lucky you…no matter where you live, you can find your new friend on the website and have it shipped right to your door!
But wait…there’s more. biggerKrissy makes awesome pendants for 8 dollars. These pendants have different sayings on them and there is a pendant for everyone! Here are some of Wickedly Chic’s favorites: “I go to first base”, “he might still call, really”, “he was small”, “I slept with him anyway”, “I like girls” and my personal favorite, “he was a tool”. Check them out. Wearing one of these will make you smile and laugh. I proudly wear my “I go to first base”. It’s catchy…and fun :) Even my husband thinks it’s funny. Your significant other will too. Do not worry if you don’t have a significant other. Any one of these great sayings can be used for the attached or unattached. As biggerKrissy likes to say “your call.”
biggerKrissy makes stationery too. You know…the kind for those “special” occasions like when you have been dumped or treated badly by a friend. If you want to find a card with the sentiment that is truly pumping through your heart, check these out. These cards all have pictures of “poorly drawn animals” which were done by biggerKrissy herself. Do yourself a favor. Buy some for your next occasion. Great prices too.
